ohmygosh, i don't know where to start off from...
I have SO MUCH to talk about! :D
This trip was such good experience!
so so... I went to Korea with Mindy, Amrita,Wei Qi, Joyce, Ethan Lai,Timothy, Jun Ru,Tiana and Xue Ting + Mrs. Jae, Ms. Jung and Mr. Jackson.
and erm.. we went for 7 days.
Flew off on the 12th of Nov 2011.
Singapore to Bangkok (4pm-5.15pm)
I sat with Joyce and JunRu, that flight was SO ANNOYING.
there were these indians who didn't understand on the plane, like, all of them there, except for us...
They kept standing up when the plane was gonna take off AND land, and kept talking on their phones, kept talking to eachother really loudly...The guy diagonally behind me, kept staring, and when I wasn't looking, he wrote a note to Ethan( he was sitting in front of the guy) saying something like, " what is the instrument she is using" and Ethan was like... " ipad". pretty funny actually.
Well, when we reached the Bangkok airport, we had around 5 hours to spare...
we ate our dinner at the airport and had ice-cream
sat with Joyce and Jun Ru again, and BREAKFAST, was freaking served at 4am....
When we FINALLY REACHED KOREA, we immediately went on the BUS
1st Stop: Cheongwadae Sarangchae Exhibition and Museum, where we took weird photos and sent them to Dr. Yap :P
It was pretty cool, we met Lester there, it was so weird, haha. Oh and our senior Cindy, who lives in Seoul.We sketched there, that's it.
i roomed with Mindy and Amri (: we slept and stuff for like 2 hours, then went for dinner.
5th Stop: DINNER at some vegetarian buffet place.
6th Stop: Lantern Festival, it was fun (:
2nd Day
We had to wake up at around 7am i think? don't remember, but anyways, we made our way to KAY WON ARTS SCHOOL. we had a mask-making class. Afterwards, we had a tour around the school, both Middle and High School. We went to their music,theatre and dance lessons for a while.
THEN, back to KayWon Middle School to meet our hosts...
my host didn't really talk much, haha her name's Yuri.
Anyways, after that we went for a print making class, PIZZA for dinner, and ....
off to my host's house.
She has a brother, Alex who's 8. Parents were soo nice (:
3rd Day
Woke up, reached the school at 8am, drawing collaboration with teh students at 9am.
We had to get to know our partner...we were given 20min to draw whatever you learnt about your partner, and then, exchange it, and you're suppposed to complete the artwork.
NO OFFENSE, but it was kinda boring....
after that, we went for some Korean traditional drum class with the dancers.
Lunch, at the canteen... they give really little :/
after, we went to shoot some hoops.
AND THEN, we went to the Korean Folk Village. It was soooo funny there, we were there for a while. The guide... omg haha he was hilarious. Like, he kept calling Mr. Jackson over, and when the rest of us asked questions, he ignored us... and only gave his attention to Mr. Jackson :/
It was a really cool village place though! We got to see the olden Korean houses.
Nam June Paik Art Center: pretty cool artworks there...
5.30pm: Back to KAYWON, then, to my host's house, took a 30min busride back. We had spaghetti for dinner, then went out to watch a movie, but they only had Korean ones, so we went window shopping instead, but there was nthing good, so we went home.
4th Day
4th day was FUN FUN FUN :D
We finished our masks, and then went for some dance class... IT WAS SOOO FUNNY!!!
I had my period so I couldn't dance properly cause of crams and what not...
but it was soo fun (:
We said bye to our hosts,the school, and went to Lleum Museum, where Amri,Ethan and I just SPAZZED, and didn't really pay attention to the artworks :P
After this, we went to our hotel! the PJ hotel! it was soo nice there, ahha. everyone just started spazzing and getting all excited when we went to our hotel, lol. roomed with Amri and Mindy again , took a rest, the went to Myeong Doong Street!!!! we had like free shopping time there, was fun (: had this really long ice-cream and stuff.
Then, to the Seoul N Towers, we took a cable car up! blah blah blah, and then BACK TO OUT HOTEL :D
5th Day
Went to the Korean museum to learn Korean painting on scrolls and fan, i chose to do it on a fan.we explored the museum,took the metropolitan train ( 9 stops).
then went to Insa-Dong to SHOP AND SKETCH ,3
2 hours of shopping+ sketching, as you know... Amri, Ethan and I sketched and just decided to spazz after that. OH OH, we went up to some shopping mall place thingy, and while i was buying ice-cream... this super cute scruffy guy carrying a guitar came towards my direction. It was like, those weird movies, where evrything around slows down, and sparkles everywhere... hahahaha. he smiled and then we went off... ):
We went back downstairs, and then he came back out and smiled again (:
And then yea... that's it, NO MORE SEEING HIM AGAIN ):
well, after that, we were given another 2 more hours to eat+ shop. We split up into 2 groups. Amri, Ethan, Timothy, Xue Ting and I went to Macs and stuff.
THEN, we went to watch some Korea performance thingy, i kindaaa fell asleep at the first part, but at the 2nd part where they started makin a lot of noise, i got up, and the masked guy kissed my hand, lol. but I just woke up, so i was like " mehh". Then Joyce and I started fangirling over him.. haha
it was so funny (:
BACK TO THE HOTEL.
6th Day
We were all gonne meet at 10 am, but Mindy, Amri and I decided to wake up earlier to go have the morning buffet in the hotel. damn.. i can't really remember where we went after that :/
